When you give to a project in B1G1, the impacts of your giving count towards at least 1 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). If you’re new to the SDGs, you can get a quick overview here.
You’ll also notice that many of the projects listed on B1G1 contribute towards multiple SDGs. For example, a school meal program can help relieve hunger (Goal 2 – Zero Hunger) while ensuring that more children will go to school and concentrate on the learning (Goal 4 – Quality Education).
In these cases, each impact you create will be equally divided across the relevant SDGs.
P.S. You may sometimes find that the sum of the impacts on your SDG widgets do not entirely match your total impact count. Rest assured that this is not an error, but happens simply due to the rounding down of partial SDG impacts when the division and aggregation calculations are applied.
