Occasionally, we receive a request from a member to find out which beneficiary their contribution will go to, or allocate their giving to a specific location that they can visit.
We understand this desire. If you can see the person or activity you are directly funding, you could feel more connected to the giving you do. We try our best to create the sense of connection for all our members.
However, we usually do not facilitate introductions of donors and beneficiaries. We believe that the management of contributions should be fully in control of the Worthy Cause partners. We are in support of them to make strategic decisions effectively.
Project visits are possible in B1G1 (through our annual Study Tours, for instance). With these visits, we introduce the visitors to the beneficiaries.
This way, beneficiaries of your contributions understand that they are the ones who are making great change with the support of the organisation and their leaders, rather than being the recipient of personal deeds of people outside who they may see as more gifted.
We actively share with you the project updates and pictures (including stories from some of the beneficiaries) so that you can understand the impact you are helping to make. We believe that the acknowledgement of great change should go to everyone. And we want every beneficiary to be empowered to become future givers.
