B1G1 is all about making giving a habit, so automating the process would make sense. We also know that giving needs to be a very real experience for our business members. There is a great sense of achievement in knowing that as a result of your business activities you have created direct impacts to your chosen projects.
So, here’s how to best ‘automate’ the process:
1. Log in to your B1G1 account
2. Under the Impact tab, click on Create Impact
3. Click on Add a New Giving Story or choose a giving story you've already created
4. Click on the Giving Cart sub-header, or the cart icon on the right of your screen
5. Check 'Give this amount automatically every month'
You will be charged automatically every month to create the same impacts you’ve selected in your cart. You can cancel the arrangement any time if you decide to change your giving settings later.
This allows you to turn your average giving amount (based on your average sales volume) into a monthly automatic giving. You just set it up once and you’ll be charged the same amount for the same impacts every month. This works best for businesses that have more stable sales activities. You can always top up your giving at the end of the year if you actually did better than expected.
Once you have set up your Giving Stories, the whole giving process takes just a few minutes. If you still want to save that time, you could nominate a team member as a Giving Leader who enters in the figures and does the giving for the business. Some B1G1 members actually offer the Giving Leader role as a monthly incentive to their team or rotate the role so everyone gets a turn to do the giving, or even choose the projects.
